My TV is making a loud sound each time I turn it on. (I imagine it is when the tube warms up) It is a regular Sony TV. Have any of you had problems like this? My warranty is expired, any help is appreciated.

I tried that. The sound started after I moved the TV, I think something is out of alignment. I don't want to open it without some other solutions.

I ll bang the hell out of it when I get home.

    DO NOT OPEN THE TV!!
They can hold huge charges for more than 2 weeks.
    -Just a public service anouncement-

little late to respond but it is still making that sound. It is like the normal sound it makes when you turn a tv on, only much louder.

Yes, hitting it solves many problems, especialyl if it was after somethign is out of alignment... take a man's approach "use a hammer"
