I have an S-Video-out cable hooked up from my laptop to my TV. I got the desktop background to show up on the TV, but it will not show any windows I have opened or task bar, etc. Just the background image from desktop.

What do I need to do? Thanks in advance.

If it's setup at the 2nd monitor then you just have to drag whatever you want over there.

If that's not the case then I have no idea.

Agree, it probably "extended" your desktop to the right.

Depending the graphics card you should be able to find a setting that'll make it so the TV is a clone of the laptop, if that's the sort of thing you're looking for
