TV cable to monitor

    i was wondering if there is some adaptor that can connect vga to a tv cable, my guess is no but still worth asking

    i want to see because i only have a laptop and the slot on the side has my wireless card in it, so i cant get a tv tuner, but i do have an extra 19" monitor

    usb tv tuner.... or a viewsonic tuner/scan-converter.

    either will do what you want.

    You want to go from your laptop to your TV to watch videos or whatever?
    Well if your TV has a VGA port, you can get a VGA-to-VGA cable easily.
    Other wise if you want to go VGA to S-Video or Composite (yellow RCA) then you'll need something like this http://www.smarthome.com/7743.html

    is there anything like the viewsonic thats less expensive?

    Find out how much a cable box costs, then decide if anything cheaper could possibly work very well. The thing's got to tune stations as well as convert from analog to digital.
