Figured this was the best place to put this..

I heard that plugging tv cable directly into your LCD could actually prove to have poorer quality than to have your cable into a DVD player and then the DVD player connected to the LCD. Anyone know anything regarding this? :hs:

Is it better because of component cables running from the DVD player to the TV?

    Thoughts?

My initial thought would be less quality because you are breaking the signal so therefore it should be weaker, but, ya never know till you try. Give it a shot and see what happens. Do you have an LCD tv? High Def? If so, get a high def box and an HDMI cable, your picture will be a hell of a lot better. Coax cable can't carry that high of resolution, so you aren't even getting anything capable of what your tv can do.
