Hi, Can I get away with a plain white shirt with french cuffs or do I really need to have a tuxedo shirt? I'm going to a formal event and cannot find a slim fit tux shirt. I will be wearing a contemporary black tie so the buttons will be covered.

    Thanks.

I have an alexander mcqueen tux shirt (bibbed) that's really slim fit. Try looking into something like that.
