Anyone have a Tundra Double Cab with some bass in it? Or know of a way to get it done? I can't figure out any way other than fiberglassing one of the cubby holes under the rear bench. Any easier/cheaper alternatives?

    It's a 2005 4x4 v8 double-cab, if it matters.

yea, they all say either fiberglass the cubby holes, or use the center console.

I think the center console is the better idea... But the stealth box is $$$.

5spd or auto trans column or floor mount?

if auto and on the column, then use a center console and you can custom build to stick a 10" woofer up and under the dash
feed it roughly 800 watts and enjoy teh bass :)

i know, i had a 93 ranger and put a 10" woofer up under the dash after cutting the seat and building a custom center console
yep - won several 1st place competition trophies
if i can put a 10" in there, you can too

w/a 5spd it's gonna be much harder and you should 'glass under the rear bench - or if you don't care about space behind the seats you can stuff 8 12" woofers back there

5speed on the column. I would rather do an 8" under the rear seats, but then I don't know how well that will sound.

I am concerned with a 10" in the center console causing rattles down the road.

what about a downfiring box right behind the console? cut out the rear cup holder section etc?

its an 05 double tacoma, but we removed the plastic vanity cover behind the rear seat, cut the retaining hooks for the child seats and removed the plastic cover on the back of the seat. We used a pre-fabed truck box and it fit with a prob, it sounds great with an alpine 2 chan pushing the sub with an v12 4 chan running his speakers.

decided against the console, for numerous reasons. just need to find a place with a 10w1 in stock and my under-seat sub will be done. Box is already built... amp installed... just waiting for sub.

have you USED a w1v2? I think you are thinking of the W1 which was discontinued... the new w1v2 is based off of the w6/w7 line... and I must say it sounds TITS in the SQ department.

I havn't herd the V2's, but the w1v1 didn't sound to good to me. If they are based of the w7's, they probally do kick alot of fucking ass. Glad you got something in your truck.

yea, the original w1's wern't that good. Not much punch, and very muddy sounding... The new v2 is based on the 26/27 line, and is VERY clean.
