I was wondering if the elimination fights during taping of TUF were considered legit fights for a fighter's profile/ranking? It seems like sites that keep track of stats don't have the fights on record unless it's a fight like the TUF Finale.

I mean, they are 3 5-minute rounds and sanctioned by the SAC right?

edit: researching on this a little, I saw that Forrest Griffin's first pro fight on his record is against Dan Severn. rofl.

They initially counted them but then decided no because they were only exhibition matches.

They are not sactioned because the results aren't reported to the NSAC and released immediately. That is what makes them exhibition matches.

Because otherwise the results would be public, and ruin the show. I understand.
