Its a samsung. I was told at t-mobile that there was nothing I could do because it was setup for cingular. Can anyone verify this?

you need to check on t-mobile's website and see if they have a section that will send the wap settings to your phone over the air. otherwise you will have to find them out and program them yourself. that is if the settings arent locked to cingular only

if the phone is unlocked using different carrier you have to get the WAP settings for t-mobile and change them on the phone, depending on what phone you have you might not be able to do that so you might be fucked

just call T Mobile tech support. i had a trial account with T Mobile a couple of months ago and called in to get the settings for my 6230 and the guy I talked with was more helpful in walking me step by step through everything and verifying that everything worked once we were done before he let me hang up.
