    I'm trying to sell a CPU. AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Socket 754 2.4ghz (newcastle).

I've looked all over for a price to sell it at and can't find anyone selling the cpu. Well... no that's wrong. I did find one guy in boise who put one up on craigslist for 150$ Guys got to be crazy. My core duo chip didn't even cost that much. What's so special about these 754 chips besides I guess the fact that their are hard to find?

I did find several sites that were selling the cpu but all are selling for over 100$. Does this seem right? I looked for a date on the page and couldn't find one. Think maybe their just dated pages?

Also, I find on ebay. 2 of these socket 754 chips but different models ([ADA3400AEP4AX] http://cgi.ebay.com/AMD-ATHLON-64-3...ryZ80139QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) They are actually being bid on for prices upwards of 60$. :eek3: Can't believe that these CPU's are still in such high demand.

What do you guys suggest I sell the chip at. A price that it would move. Not looking to become rich off this thing.

    Thanks

ps. I think maybe I'd better put more specs here about the chip. ADA3400AIK4B0 ( 512kB L2) Socket 754 (newcastle)

That's what I'm talking about. Now I've had someone tell me it's really a
    90nm Venice 3400+.

I have more research to do. Don't want a misinformed buyer. :bigthumb:

edit: Found out this poster (from another forum) was right. It is a Venice 3400+. (there's a lot of misinformation on the web  )

Still don't know what to sell it at... doing some checking. If anyone knows anything please post.

There are ~25 completed auctions in the past month. Final prices were between $25 and $90.

    It's model ADA3400AIK4B0.

Different CPU than I originally thought.

edit: Remembered my pass. :big grin: Did a search on the 754 venice and only the 939 chips come up. :sad2:
