here now iv been eatting 1000-1500 cals a day. working out doing cardo for 45 mins to 1 hour a night. and weights for 30 more.. thus far iv gone from 315 to 308 in around 2 weeks.

    you're only eating 1000 to 1500 cals a day? :eek3:

if you're doing cardio and weights, you're already on the right track. clean up your diet and be consistent with your workouts and the weight will come off. losing weight takes time, but you'll probably lose a good amount fairly fast

drink lots of water and good luck

I would think you could eat alot more calories than that and be under maintance at 300+lbs, so dont starve yourself, you'll get discouraged. Walk more, be more active, park your car father away from things, walk your doggie for like a mile every other day. Make healthier choices in your meals, cut things like cheese out of your subway, it'll all add up. Oh, and drink only water/skim milk, no juice or soda, they have a shit ton of calories and you can pound down 500 calories worth of drinks in a day without even thinking about it. Dont force it, at your wieght you'll drop pounds pretty quickly if you just focus.

I'm down about 32lbs since November 1 2005 just by making subtle changes in the way I eat and live, and I didnt have to push myself very hard. Now that I've hit a plateau I'm working out much more/harder, but my body is better prepared for it, I can handle it now without feeling burned out 24/7.

    I weighed 315 on 10/16/05. As of tonight I am 223-224....at 5'9.

1800 calories a day, 3 miles a day/6 days a week on the treadmill, and lifting 3x a week. Only supplements I have taken are fish oil, a multi, GTE, and whey. I attribute 90% of it to the change of diet. Let me be the first to tell you the gut and man boobies are going to be the last things you lose. I can tell a vast difference in my body now, but i still have a huge fucking gut and man tits, although obviously nothing compared to 6 months ago. Stick with it though, once you lose enough to see a visual difference, you'll be motivated like fucking crazy. Give yourself a cheat day once a week, but dont go too crazy with it. And quit taking the trimspa, that shit is nothing more than a crutch.

why no smoking? I understand alcohol (wich by the way makes a huge difference) But I smoke a pack a day, and have no trouble walking very briskly, uphill, for about an hour. What I mean is, obvoiusly people should quit smoking, but would quitting smoking make him want to eat more?

For real I have lost like 40 lbs and they both still look the same. I can just fit into smaller size pants.

pack a day is a lot dude...

Quitting is ideal but at least try to cut it down to a pack a week. That way they're more rewarding and enjoyable, and you aren't doing nearly as much damage to your lungs and heart.

looks like you are starting out just right, you might want to eat a bit more than 1000-1500 cals a day though.
