Trying to Loose 15-20lbs before my wedding

    Never really worked out before. I quit smoking about 8 months ago (smoked for 13 years) DR. says I have high cholesterol. I used to weigh around 150lbs I am 5'10 I currently weigh 180lbs. I would like to loose a few lbs and the beer gut what would the best way to go about this be? I just joined a gym should I just to elipticals and maybe some situps on the days I am not in the gym?

    I swear to christ there have been about a billion threads in the same vein as yours.



    Since you're a n00b to lifting, I would recommend getting on a nice weight lifting routine and hitting up some cardio 2-3 days a week. Because you've never lifted before, you'll probably be able to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. This is the only time where you'll be able to do that. More experienced lifters have to choose whether they want to lose fat or gain muscle. It just doesn't happen together.
