My buddy is sharing some songs off his 3rd gen iPod with me. I have a 4th gen hooked up through a firewire into my Mac. iTunes reads the iPod and I can listen to the songs on the iPod through the App, but we can't figure how to get songs off. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Couldn't you just use Podworks?

The 'cradle' connection should be the same on the 3rd gen as 4th gen. Unplug yours, and plug in your buddies...and dl Podworks. :wiggle:

Too bad it only lets you transfer one song at a time

You should be able to select however many songs you want at once..holding down the Apple key...and then just hitting the "transfer all" button.

*recalling from memory, haven't done it myself in a while*

I've been using ephpod, but I dunno if it's exactly what you're lookin for. All I know is that it won't delete your entire directory when you plug in an "empty" ipod.

Nevermind. The linked version is the demo. To be able to select more then one song at a time you have to buy the full version. $8 and everything works good now. :coold:
