    Hey there -

I'm trying to figure out how many calories per day to ingest. I'm trying to keep my diet to 20% fat 40% carb 40% protein. I was thinking my target should be 2750 cals a day. Work out 3x a week. Does this seem plausible? To hi to low?

Also, should I be eating 1 gram protein / pound or 1.5 gram protein / pound.

    I'm 6'9'' 250. TY!

Am I shooting to high? Or too low in regards to calories? I want to lean up... What is an ideal weight for my height?

Many site calculators recomment around 220 pounds... that seems light,

6'9" and 220 would be tiny

That's what I was thinking... But that is the "healthy" BMI? Right now I am slightly flabby, but If I can convert that to muscle I think even 250 is a good weight... So how many calories should I shoot for? how many g of protein?

That is a nice picture of a German Shepard, thank you Erik! Now does anyone know how to roughly calculate calories?

    2750 calories? No.

I'm 6'5" at the same weight and I've been hitting at least 4500 calories a day for the last few weeks and I'm hardly gaining.

    Eat more, a lot more.

dude your going to have to put in effort like everyone else. Eat 3500 for a month of the same diet weekly. Weigh in if you gained weight then you found a bulking amount. If you lost weight then you found a cutting amount. Maintenance will be in between.

According to a post by Timber a long time ago, maintenance is about 15.5 calories per pound.

Thanks for the help guys. Ideally I don't want to bulk up anymore than I am now. Unless I get into this fitness/lifting more seriously. 3,750 Calories seems like a ton, but I'll try it and see what happens!
