trying to cut/lose weight... creatine?

    I know that creatine provides the muscles with significantly more energy and in turn can allow you to both train harder and recover quicker... but I was wondering if it really has much use in a fat loss program. I'm using purevl's routine and about to throw in mountain biking twice a week - on a pretty clean diet getting roughly 2100 calories a day but still in a pretty good deficit- trying to avoid carbs the best I can unless it's veggies.

    It won't affect your fat loss. While creatine may reduce your weight loss because of increased water retention, rate of fat loss shouldn't be affected. And any water retention can be dealt with easily.

    Would it help in retaining muscle while cutting?

    Some suspect it does, yes. But a lot of people are non-responders to creatine (including myself) so don't expect huge differences.

    Doesnt the new creatine using CEE not cause bloat?

    Yes, but the effectiveness of CEE is suspect these days and most people just suggest mono it seems. I used both and didn't see much difference from either. I THOUGHT there was a difference, but I think it was all in my head because both times when I ran out of creatine I would still look the same without it months later.
