tryin to install ubuntu from dvd

    tryin to install ubuntu from a dvd but bios says cd-rom device instead of dvd-rom and dont get an error message, but 15 or so seconds later message appears that says "strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility". if you hit f1 same messagae appears

    Did you burn it correctly? Nero, burn image.. dada.

    Not just dragging the ISO into the CD?

    If you put the dvd in with windows on, do you get the autoplay?

    I haven't been able to get it running on my build. (with factory pressed disc)

    I keep getting an error that turns out to be a Core 2 Duo compatibility issue.

    That was on my Intel motherboard. I haven't tried it yet on my Abit setup.
