True or False- eat 20-30 minutes before going to gym?

    I thought it would be better to eat an hour before since it usually takes 20 minutes to start digesting food, and when you work out yoru body isn't digesting? or maybe after because then you don't eat as much??

    carbs. i notice a huge difference in the intensity of my workout if i dont load up on lke 100g of carbs before i hit the gym

    guy at gym told me for my weight and height and age i should be eating almost 5000 calories a day. i thought he was insane i'm trying to trim down.

    and unless you're 7' tall, i dont give a fuck what your stats are..trying to lose weight + 5k cals = :wtf:

    i've lost 20 pounds of fat by changing diet now hitting gym, to lose the pesky fat and gain slight muscle in arms.

    losing weight and gaining muscle doesn't really happen unless you're a complete newb or pretty fuckin' fat...you will, however, notice more definition in your muscles when you lose weight...

    i'd guess about 1800 cals a day would be about right for you

    if I'm going to the gym in the evening I have to give myself 2hrs after I eat before going.
    if it's in the morning I usually don't eat anything before :o but if I do it's a piece of bread

    I try to eat at least an hour before I go. If I eat too soon before I train, it makes me sluggish and nauseous.

    you'd be so proud of the changes i've made. plus going to hte gym 6 days a week. feels so good.

    for me its usually the eating i do the day before that effects my workout the most.

    Aim for 1800-2000 calories if you are cutting.

    i guess it depends on goals. but i try to eat 30% of my day's carbs about 2 hours before.

    i eat mcdonalds while walking in my gym. the fat people on the treadmills hate me for it
