Have a Chevy S10 Pickup. Single cab.
Looking to start from scratch on entire system.

Not wanting satalite radio, so X that.
Planning on spending no more than $1,000 including installations.
But still willing to spend a whole G.
Have limited space in a single-cab pickup.

    Recommendations? :x:

    Thanks :bigthumb:

Can you be more specific than that?

I assume you need at the very minimum you'll want a headunit and some speakers, but are you going to want to power them off the headunit, or use an external amplifier? Also, are you going to want rear speakers (I suggest not going with rear speakers) and a subwoofer (I DO suggest getting a sub).

Ok so there you have it , total should be about $900.

that leaves you $100 to get a wiring kit with all parts and a custom box made.
That would set you to $1000 without installation. If you did it yourself you would be right on 1k, otherwise you would have to pay what's over 1k for the install. you would love this system, it would bring you great joy but unless you installed it yourself it would be on 1k.. Think on this, if you can manage a bit extra or do it yourself i guarantee this system idea will not dissapoint you.

    Thanks :bigthumb:
I'm looking into all that now.
Also, how much should I expect to pay extra for installment?
Time is not something I have a lot of, so if I can, I would like to have majority of it installed.

    Anyone else have any suggestions?

Nothing brand specific, but to keep it simple, look into a 4 ch (or a 3 channel) amp. 2 channels for the front stage and one for the sub. It's less to have installed and cheaper than buying 2 amps while you're still able to power the front stage w/an amp.

An s10 won't have much room in the cab for a sub, so you may want to look into a JL Stealthbox, MTX Thunderforms, or a Qlogic box

    239.95 Tantrum 600.4 http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PHOT6004
Very efficient amplifier with 18db crossovers

    69.95 Tantrum X 10D = http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=2990
Requires a 0.6 ft sealed box for SPL, SQ is 0.7. mounting depth is 5 13/16. This should be do-able.

    45.95 QSX403 = http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PHOQSX403
    Amp kit with interconnect.

    99.99 Tantrum X Components = http://www.thezeb.com/PhoenixGold.aspx?Results=1&CategoryID=15&Manufacturer=29

455.84 plus shipping on some items. You will still need to choose a H/U, and box to get it installed.

I have a chevy 00 single cab.......... and I was looking into getting one of those Resonant SE 10" subs. I was planning on getting 2 of them, powered by a JBL 1200.1 amplifier. The only problem is those subs are huge, and I need a small box to fit behind my seat. I currently have a box back there holding a MTX 6000 10" and it fits just perfect. I need some help on how to fit this sucker in a pretty small box that is around 6" for the top depth.

Do you know of a box that I could buy online that would hold this sub? Or do I need to build my own? Any plans I can look at online? etc?

    Thanks

Why reccomend the Tantrum when the Titanium can be had for the same price right now? ;)
