I'm just wonder if this is something I can fix in an afternoon w/o tearing the truck apart and with parts I can get at the local autoparts store or if I need to take it to the dealer.

If I run the AC in my truck for long periods of time it seems to "go out" well really the amount of air coming out the vents goes down (I haven't touched the fan control) and it can start to get warm in the truck even with the AC running. Now if I just turn the AC button off and leave the fan on then the air will keep blowing and slowly the airflow comes back and the air remains cold for a while.

Its behaving like the a/c at the house i lived last year where the heatexchanger ice over, that was cause it was covered in dirt, and at my appartment this year, but that wasn't dirty so i just filed a maintence request.

so any tips for a do-it-your-self fix?
