Just built a new desktop. On every startup, after sign on as admin or otherwise I get a beep 2 warnings one says CLI.EXE failed to load or something like that, then a second cli.exe failed. I exit them and everything seems to work just fine.

    Build Specs:
    MB- ASUS P5GD2 DELUXE 915P
    CPU- P4/3.2 GHz 800M LGA775
    VGA- ATI|X700PRO 256MB
    HD- 74GB|WD 10,000RPM 8MB WD740GD
    RAM-(2) Corsair 512MB MEMORY XMS2-5400 667MHZ DDR2

    Programs:
    XP Sp2
    Office XP
    HL2

Any ideas at all would be much appreciated. :wavey:

you don't really need that .exe and can remove it by unchecking it in msconfig

Cool. Thanks. Does ATI cli explain both (CLI and cli) warnings, or only one of them.

sounds like both, but you might search the entire drive to make sure you only have one copy of cli.exe rather than one legit cli.exe and a trojan

This worked great. Both were ATI-associated programs and not necessary. Thanks again :wavey:

it does, but cli.exe is a specific filename rather than an acronym
