have major problems with spyware. Tried Spybot but no help. Getting all kind of pop-ups. Get one saying TrojanDownloader. Is there a really good free spyware program that will fix this? Know some about computer but not an expert by no means

trojan downloader is more of a virus than spyware.
the problem with it is that it downloads a lot of crap to your pc.
what it downloads is not something specific,... so you might need various software (anti-v, anti-spyware, etc) to detect and clean them.

sometimes,... the trouble of doing that is not worth it. just backup what you can, then format.

I use Norton and it detects Adware.180 Search and deletes it but says restart. After restart it reappears.

Is symantec endpoint the same as norton? My school gave me symantec endpoint 11 for free, so i'm using it. I should try AVG, but it costs $$

Yes and no. Symantec makes Norton branded programs, but Symantec branded is usually for business while Norton is consumer/home.
The Symantec version is usually a lot faster and a bit less resources hungry.

AVG is free, if all you want is virus protection.
