I am looking into buying a full-sized tripod for my camera and am wondering what are some good brands for tripods. I am looking to spend up to $100 and I want something sturdy. What would people here recommend?

Slik 300DX for under a hundred.

It's decent and sturdy, but the head won't be as good as a bogen 3-way and it isn't as sturdy as some of the bogens. :noes:

So is Slik a good brand? You and another member both recommended Slik tripods. I saw some Bogen's on B&H's website and they didn't have quick release heads, but they certainly look pretty nice.

Sorry, I meant the ones under $100 didn't seem to have quick release heads.
