Hi.. I need a tripod. I want to spend around 50 dollars.. Yes I'm cheap but I just need something that will hold the camera steady. Does anyone have any suggestions for brands or models or where to buy? Also, what is with those tripods that have the big clampy type mount... My camera just has a whole for a screw type thing on it... how would I make it work with the clamp thingy?

    And..

What are some good films.. Im just using regular kodak and fujifilms now... is there anything thats 'better'? like one that makes the colors look better or anything like that?

    Thanks :)

    I use kodak 400s

with totally manual camera( diaphragm, focus, exposure times, etc) I get total flawless pictures, color is perfect just like real life.

    p.s.

    Helios 44-2 lense

if you dont want to spend the money just go to wal mart and get the one you can afford.

The cable shutter release you should be able to get at a camera store

If you want good film shoot slow speed slide film like:

    ISO 50 Fujichrome Velvia
ISO 64 Kodak Kodachrome or Ektachrome
ISO 64 Fujichrome Astia (for skin tones)

Print film you will get a million sugestions.
I shoot Kodak royal gold the ISO depending on situation.

THE MAIN thing about print film is use a PHOTO lab. Not Wal-Mart not Wal Greens. They are ok for your backyard BBQ. If you go out and shoot film that you want developed right use a good quailty lab.

What I do is this. If I shoot just random family events and gatherings i let Wal-Mart do the developing. If I see a shot tyhat i really like then I will take the neg to a lab for a print.

Now if I load up and go on a "shoot" then they go to the good lab.

Another good thing about using a lab is that they get to know you. This makes it alot easier to ask questions. Most people in private labs are really good photographers. So when you look at your photos you can ask Hey how this didnt work the way I wanted can you give me some advice on shooting this.
