    plus shooting at 1.4 is WIN

    And too long on a cropped body for indoor stuff, which is what I'd be using it for. I have a Tamron 17-50 F2.8 that never comes off unless I'm shooting wide-angle. I find that I don't miss the F1.8 at all -- bump up the ISO. Noise is over-rated.

    I didnt really like mine at first, but I was trying to use it for the wrong purpose. Now I try to use it every chance I get.

    I had the 1.8, and loved it. Bought the 1.4 and holy shit...night and day. The USM alone. Sold the 1.8 to a buddy at work the next day. :)
