well recently i have began to take Rimfire Metallic Silhouette seriously, i recently found out that for hunter class you can set your trigger pull to a minimum of 907grams and the trigger pull on my current rifle is over 1000grams, i currently compete in hunter class, so i am going to take it to the gunsmith soon to get it lightened off, but my question is that lets say i get it set to 910grams is their any chance that the trigger pull might become more or less over a period of time, just that i dont want it to become less overtime and mean that i might get disqualified in a big competition.

FYI my silhouette rifle is a sako finnfire p94s

the jewell or savage accutriggers are both very adjustable and have very little creep on the second stage

a good gunsmith should be able to do it all, go over to rimfire central and ask around.

No, because greater length of travel doesn't have a significant impact on safety. So all they care about is how much weight it takes to move it rather than energy which would be weight and distance.
4 lb trigger pull 2mm != 8 lb trigger pull 1mm from a safety standpoint
