No more WW2 makes me sad. Using nothing but non-scoped bolt action rifles is the epitome of the COD series. How I long for the COD1/UO/COD2 days before the mainstream market caught on to the series.

It will be nice to see another Vietnam game (BFV was ) and I look forward to seeing some Cold War-esque espionage games from Activision.

    It's called an opinion?

I'm not a fan of Treyarch games and I am bored/tired of/sick of shooters set in the past?

    Modern Warfare 2 ftw.

you're more than entitled to your opinion but it just sounds like you're complaining that treyarch is leaving WWII behind and trying to do something else that has hardly been touched upon with video games. i just find it ironic

I skipped CoD5 but I'll give the next one a shot if it isn't based on WW2. Also the infinite enemy spawns kind of ruins the game for me.

MW2 will be awesome, but a Vietnam game could be fun  no reason you can't play both.

Hardly been touched upon? Vietnam is right behind WW2 in terms of overused war game settings

Vietnam seems like such a pain in the ass to recreate based off how movies portray it. Thick jungles don't leave much for strategy, although I imagine a properly done tunnel rat sequence would be a trip.

dont attempt the OT gang mentality approach on me you faggots. Vietnam games are usually so shitty that they go unnoticed, and the point is that maybe if Treyarch would tell a story that hasnt been told in a while, it would be a little bit more interesting. I dont care how good the graphics are going to be or how intense it gets, there are only so many times you can rehash a game setting before it gets old.

In addition to that wiki list, I found another that has about 35 Vietnam games listed up to 2005. When you think about it, even if only several have been released every year doesnt that seem like beating a dead horse a little bit?

To be fair, I think Treyarch knows that trying to put out a modern setting game would draw instant comparisons to IF and given their history would not be a good idea.
