With the spring semester approaching in 2 weeks I decided that I needed a bit of a vacation to recharge the batteries. Just so happens that my friend's mom wanted her 05 Prius detailed. Unfortunately this car does ~90 mile round trip 5 days a week for work and they're right on the coast and the love bugs have definitely left their mark on the front of the car so short of wetsanding the front will never be what it should be. Anyway, here are the results.

    Products
Foam gunned with Megs Deep Crystal
Washed 2 bucket method with Megs Deep Crystal
Rims and wells cleaned with Simple Green 6:1
    Clayed using Excel fine clay
Entire exterior got Mez Intensive Polish and 4" LC light cut pad
Megs #80 via megs polishing pad
    AIO via megs polishing pad
    Poorboy's Natty Red
Stoner's MS on tires and wells
    AIO on rims
    IG on glass

Oh yeah, a :fawk: for getting to detail in shorts. I am so jealous!

Paint does look really wet and shiny, perfect for Prius owners to catch their reflection when they sniff their own farts. :mamoru:

Haha... It's actually rather cold here for it being on the coast in FL, it's just warm from what I've been living in for the last 3 months. It was 52 today and I figured what the hell, why not enjoy somewhat decent weather before I head back to the snowy land of PA and NE OH. lol

    Nice link btw!

Wait.. aren't you supposed to NOT polish under direct sunlight?

Only if you use Turtle Wax. Today's products (especially Optimum) are better formulated to work in many conditions.

You just detailed a luchbox! (if you saw Jeff Dunham's Achmed, you know what I'm talking about) Aside of that, nice job, and as Scott said :fawk: for being on shorts in the middle of winter

    What Jrock said...lol

That used to be the case and in the case of some products still is the case however, with the weather being in the mid to upper 50s and the sun being in and out all afternoon you can work almost any polish in the sun. But certain ones like Opti and Poorboys work great in the sun even at higher temps.
