If your going to shoot only trap the start with a 30" Rem 1100 or a 30" Rem 11-87

if you plan on doing anything else get a 26"-28" barrel

My local trap/skeet range happens to be the Winchester ammo factory. :wavey:

I started out with a 1980's stock Remington 1100 12ga/28" that I inherited from my grandpa and now I have a Winchester Super X2.

What kind of gun are you looking for? And define what mid-range means to you, pricewise.

    sorry to necro-ish?

i actually mean mid range by quality not so much price. i wanted to go by quality since guns can range tons price wise. i want something that will say "i really thought about my purchase and just didnt go with the cheapest" and/or "wow, thats a decent rifle" and also a rifle where i wont need to upgrade really fast because it doesnt come with what i need to get started/get more serious.

if you're not going to have any other use than trap/skeet/upland game, then an over under is pretty much the standard. And the standard for over-unders are Browning Citoris.

I use to shoot only over/unders b/c I liked having 2 diffent chokes but after shooting some nice semi guns I had to swich
