Well i've been hit with the dreaded busa curse of killing second gear :wtc:

Does anybody know a good place in central florida that does tranny undercutting or am i just probably better off shipping it off to cali.

Orlando and Jacksonville are totally within driving distance but if its anywhere like miami i may as well just ship it cause the gas wouldn't be worth it along with hassle of dealing with that area

Go buy an engine off ebay. It's cheaper.

yeah well ormond now but will have to give them a call and see if they do the undercutting from what i understand its kinda a specialized service

well i could but i'de end up with exactly the same problem in another year, but im going to buy a working tranny, have undercutting done, then turn around and sell my current transmittion to minimize down time. and trannys are pretty cheap 200-500 but engines are kinda expensive 1k+ for anything that runs

I don't know what undercutting means but replacing a gear set with stock or aftermarket set Tony can do while he is drunk in his sleep. He really is good and I'm sure he knows the correct way to fix your issue. He is not cheap but good.

its a way that they grind an angle on the gears so that they cannot back out form each other when under load
