I am going to reformat my laptop and install XP on it. I want to transfer my library that I currently have on my Vista laptop. How do I go about doing this? It isn't that large, I just want to keep everything I have. A lot of it is legally purchased music from iTunes and etc.

Just copy the iTunes folder with all your music in it, to an external HD/DVD. That's it. Then when you reformat your computer, install iTunes again. Go to your music folder and replace everything you backed up. Simple as that.

Should I copy just C:\Users\xxx\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music or or the entire C:\Users\xxx\Music\iTunes?
