install os on the new drive, then connect your old drive, then transfer over in windows

os is already installed. what i mean is should i connect the IDE hd to the primary or secondary IDE slots of the new pc? or, should i plug the new SATA hd to the old and transfer data that way?

you cant straight up connect a hd to another hd, just connect your old hard drive to the ide on the mb, then itll show up in my computer, then transfer all the files over to your new one
