Before I start I need to give a quick disclaimer.

I don't know anything. I don't know what I'm talking about. Don't listen to my advice. Ok, with that out of the way...

I guess a real warning should be issued. DO NOT TRY ANY OF THE ACTIONS DEPICTED BELOW. SEEK A QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR AS MANY OF THESE TACTICS OR SKILLS SHOULD NOT BE SELF-TAUGHT. UNSUPERVISED TRAINING CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. YOU CAN EASILY SHOOT YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE ATTEMPTING TO MODEL SOME OF THESE ACTIONS.

The company I teach for offers two days of free training every year to anyone who has taken a class from us in the past. If you've taken a single class you get a weekend of free training every year for the rest of your life. That's a pretty good deal in my opinion.

This past weekend we hosted our alumni event. There were four mini classes, some lectures, a night shoot and force on force scenarios. I though I would post some pictures.

    Some vehicle tactics training:

    Building clearing with long guns:

    Close quarters retention shooting:

Some shots from the force on force:

I didn’t take as many force on force pics and I would have liked because it tends to be distracting to the students in the scenarios; also I was too busy either coaching or playing a bad guy in most of them.

Nice pics. What company do you work for? I'd be interested in trying something like that.

    Partially answered via PM.

Keep in mind this isn't a beginner's class. All of the people in the photos have taken at least one class from us. Most have taken several. You have to have a good handle on the mechanics of shooting as well as safe, 360 degree gun handling before you should be running around with a gun.

90% of the people in those pics have a lanch. He has every fucking clue what he is talking about.

Not that there is anything wrong with it. Other than heart disease and high cholesterol being the thing that kills them, and not some gangsta who pops a cap in their ass.

Yet they feel 'safer' with gun training. Gun aint gonna stop your heart from exploding.

Are these people LEO? Why would civilians need to know how to clear a building with long guns?

It's their right here to own guns and to be able to learn how to use them. I believe this company also trains LEO.

Sure, it's not exactly learning how to hunt with them but there is nothing wrong with it.

I hope he trains them how to give oxygen, and recover from heart attacks.

Best gun fighter is someone small and skinny. LEss of a target to hit at.

YEt is always seems like their are big fat gun nuts who love to tell you they know everything about training and tactics.

First lesson of their training. Suck em in.

Yes, some are LEO but most are not.

One of the main lessons of this class was to learn how difficult it is to clear structures properly and safely. It is way too easy to get killed. Too many gun owners talk about clearing their house if they hear a noise or hunting down the bad guy. That's a terrible idea and hopefully our students now know this after us repeatedly telling them, "Only leave your safe area in your house if you are probably going to die or be seriously injured if you don't (house on fire) or if there is something truly worth risking death to retrieve/protect (wife, kids, porn collection)." Your TV is not worth your life. Call the police, stay put and let the bad guy come to you.

With all that said, we also taught how to search properly. We don’t advocate doing it but if you have to do it some time you should do it right.

Awesome, go in there with your current know it all attitude. They'll love it since they won't have to teach you how to handle a gun...
