Trainer feeding my bro line of BS?

    Ok, so of course the PTs at our gym want my bro to take supplements. Him and his GF signed up for this contest. The person who does the best or what not gets free trip to Hawaii. To me it just seems like a way to promo supplements they have. They said if my bro takes Volumizer and Recovery (Thats what they called it and wrote it down as, its an Apex brand) he will gain 12-15lbs of muscle in the first month or less. I dunno, but that seems like bull to me.

    Then they told his GF to take Fat Burn 1 and Fat burn 2 (Thats the names of them, Apex brand) they said Fat Burn 1 will warm her up to the supplement, then Fat Burn 2 will be able to burn 500+ extra calories for her a day. Does that seem correct? Just those 2 for her are over a 100$ ...Just seems like they want extra supp money from them. They figured to ask me first, but it just seemed like BS, what you all think.

    What should they be taking, my bro is small hes actually 23% body fat, but is small he just wants to get more cut, and his GF has a 29% body fat (Shes puerto rican, its all in her ass and hips) and is looking for a fat burner. Opinions.

    This is pic of my bro and his GF. See, bro is fine, just wants to gain some mass and look cut, now hes just a twig, and GF wants to loose BF.

    Well, they did the pincher test on him, and the test showed that he was 23.4% body fat. I dunno, seems correct...Are those normally wrong?

    Oh, BTW, my bro has a pudgy stomach, not to bad, but pudge none the less. Also he is developing minor love handles.

    Tell him to lift weights, eat food and do cardio.

    Right, I have told him to lift, eat, and do cardio as well.

    Have done the same to his GF. I think hes prolly more around 20% BF. But yeah, I didnt think they were exactly right about that stuff. They have the pincher thing and the electrode thing to detect BF, both differ, so its kinda retarded.

    well the very fact that both of their 'reliable' methods differ in calculation should be enough to indicate how inaccurate they really are.. caliper tests are only reliable when the person adminstering it is well trained.

    tell your brother to eat 2200 cals a day, lift weights, do cardio.

    g/f can do 1500 cals a day (since she looks like she's 4'2" standing next to him) and do cardio 4 times a week.. high intensity on an elliptical, bike, etc.

    I got in a fight with a PT from my gym. He was dirtbagging it with my best friend (a very good looking girl) at a party. She felt uncomfortable, I told him to beat it. He always tries to sell me shit at the gym but I always say no so he said something like "ha, maybe if you weren't a cheap fuck you could get strong like me and could hit on girls instead of defend them".

    He also boxes and says BJJ has nothing on striking (always says this in the gym for some reason).

    Soft grass. Double leg. Mount. 2 black eyes. RNC.



    I hate PTs.
