wow, so tonight was my very first judo class and it was a pretty eye opening experience. I was doing randori with the instructor and even with my wrestling I couldn't take him down. Plus he threw me like 10 times at least. I am going to go back on fridays when I can get a ride (it is 30 minutes away) and definitely take advantage of this training.

Sweet, good to hear you're training in Judo now too.
You'll pretty much beat everybody there in newaza, but i'm sure you'll be smart about training there and you'll work on your weaknesses instead of going there to beat them on the ground.

I got back from my class early today because I've got a tourney tm. I'll see if i can get videos of my fights. Hope you enjoy some of the takedowns. If you've got a chance, ask your instructor to show you the "ko-ouchi makikomi" an "ippon seoi nage" and an "ouchi gari"

yeah, I am definitely there to learn gi throwing, setups, and have training partners who can throw me without breaking a sweat. I could care less how good their newaza is because I get enough of that during the rest of the week. And I will ask about those throws, Ive been taught ippon seoi nage before, but not the other two.

oh and gl on your tournament

Brolli, did you meet with a guy who goes by the name "rightintheface" It was his first time at BJC as well. I THINK he's a wrestler, but from what I know he enjoyed his time there too.
