To Start ~~~ THANK YOU to Whelen1 for the use of his car to transport my shit to get mounted AND help installing these bad boys.

Well to start ......... Bald tires in the back of my stang and mother natured, weathered rims all around. The rims were nice, just beat for the 4 years of owning them. And before anyone starts flaming about keeping them clean ..... I do .. or did. Northeast weather sucks, and for Cobra R chrome knock-offs, I think I got my $$$ worth.

    BEFORE PICS

Now a up close of the rims ....

So then I broke down and bought new rims and tires.

And had them mounted at a Firestone dealer with hte help of Whelen1.

And now my car looks 150% better!!!!!!!!!!! I think .........

I had some rubbing issues in the rear. The BFG's run big to begin with. I have to do work to the rear end (re-build) and the suspension. There is some good stuff on there now like Eibach springs, KYB shocks and strutts, and Steeda control arms, but I wanna change the setup around. I'm now thinking on putting a drag setup back in. Other than that, I like them alot. Best $$$ I spent. What does everyone think?

That part made me laugh, Eibach springs, KYB s/s, and steeda are the most over hyped parts out there. You minuswell of gotten a tornado fuel saver.

Do yourself a favor and pickup some H&R SS springs, Tokico s/s, and Maximum Motorsports control arms. That's IF you want to go basic. MM makes great coil over kits that you can pick up and install easily, which will make a world of difference.

I would love to go with the H&R's ........ But keep in mind that I have clearence issues. I can't go lower. As far as the suspension itself, I have a few idea's of what to do.

I took a pic when he had one side done, it looks like his tire got stung by a bee. It was soooo lopsided!!!

How do you have clearance issues? I have H&R springs and I have NEVER bottomed out.

I don't think that he is referring to bottoming out. I think he is referring to the point where we had to "alter" his rear wheel wells slightly to get rid of an annoying rub. If he goes any lower the wheels won't fit and will rub like a bastard

  15. do you still have the cobra center peices or did you swap them over? My friend has those same wheels on his car but somebody stole the center caps.

I didnt swap them over. The other center caps are just as bad as the rims. Discolored and almost falling apart. I was gonna sell the old rims on ebay but i highly dout someone will buy them the way they are.

**EDIT** If you look good in the pics, you can see thet the snakes in the center of hte rims are different.

Not for sale .......... I'd never get what I have into them.

    $750 = Rims / Shipped
    $450 = BFG Dr's / Shipped
    $225 = Front Tires

and another $100 mounting, balancing, and other bullshit.
