What's the best way to find the most exact/detailed location of an IP address?

I already searched past topics and couldn't find it.

The closest you can find is the city the IP is located in. Nothing more than that is public. If you are looking for like street address, blah.... u can't find that shit... sure the ISP has it on file, but thats like hacking them and shit. What are you trying to do/find?

It depends - tracert 10.0.0.1 is the first step. That will give you the reverse DNS lookup of all the routers in between you and him. You can usually tell by those. There are also GUI's of this - I've used NeoTrace before - kinda neat. But you can only go so far with it before you hit an ISP and they're not going to tell you where one of their ADSL subsribers are if that's what you're getting at.
