Saw both side by side yesterday, the Toyota FJ is the better of the two as far as quirky/gaudy looking SUV goes. :run:

    Advantage Toyota:
    cheaper
    an extra cylinder
    more torque
    higher towing capacity
    more passenger room
    more maximum capacity

    Advantage Hummer:
    Has real rear doors
    Not a gaudy looking interior
    :dunno: what else

  3. I'd take either. I drove the FJ before and loved it. I haven't driven the Hummer yet.

um, I don't think they're intended to be "the same" to be comparing

  5. The hummer has tow hooks on the front and back.

we were at a vineyard last sunday and this chick pulled up in he FJ ... I was on the other side of my car giveing my kid shit for acting like a shit and she parks beside me opens her door and swings around sideways (facing me) to talk to someone in the rear seat. So of course I notice that she is wearing a skirt and showing me her underwear (red lacey, cute). Had to stare till she noticed.

So if you wear skirts and want an FJ stay away from vineyards with guys yelling at their kids

I have to say, it's one of the few rare times I actually prefer the GM interior over the Toyota. :noes:

Well, at least GM gave it a decent upgrade this year in displacement and power.

But still falls behind the torque game of its competitors.
