Ok, Under color quality it says "medium 16bit" this the olny option i have.

my resolution is set at 640 by 480 pixels with that being my only option

I cant change it from "default monitor" setting.

Basically i cant customize any of my setting for display, i have basically tried every thing that i am aware of.

Do you need to reinstall the drivers from your video card?

Yeah I hate to say it but unless you have a brand name under the display properties (like NVidea), you need to install the drivers (which I know you tried). You may need to download the MB drivers from Dell as well.
