    I have a Toshiba Satelite A65.
Got it as a graduation present in 04, but as time goes on it gets slower and slower as compared to newer computers.

My hard drive is almost completely full, and i know i need to upgrade my memory, as well as probably my wireless card.

Trying to take a shortcut by just asking you guys rather than doing it myself, soooo the question is should i try and upgrade individual components or just scrap the whole thing and buy a new laptop????

Any advice or suggestions would be amazing!

(specs: Celeron 2.8 GHz, 256 MB RAM, 60 GB HDD,
ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP, 128 KB memory)

my roomie is tellin me the same thing, my biggest thing about scrappin it is the fact the thing is a tank, as far as computers go. Ive dropped it multiple times, spilt water and beer on it, left it in storage in under freezing weather and the thing still works. It is just slow compared to other computers I have used recently( mostly internet shit like porn lol, I dont game on it or anything crazy). I looked up buyin new parts for it and it would be under $500 to make it up to date (my mom works for microsoft so all software upgrades necessary are free) , So basically is the hardware available worth buyin and doin it myself worth it?

    Windows Vista hookup? ;)

Anyway, just buy a new laptop. Don't waste your time with that old one.

AS I HAVE ALREADY SAID.... IT IS NOT WORTH IT. SCRAP IT.

And toshiba build quality is nothing special. So if you think that is a "tank" then you'll be happy with any normal gateway/hp. You want a tank? Get a ThinkPad. You want a nuclear fallout shelter? Get a ToughBook.
