anyone got one of these phones? they are basically the same. just a few quick q's that i couldnt find on the net

does it have a sound recorder? if so how long can you record?

is the 2mb of memory a pain? fill up easily?

    overall a good/bad phone?

can anyone confirm if you can hook either of the phones to your computer with either infared/usb/other cable and transfer files/ringtones etc onto the phone?

does it support midi file ringtones?

lot of questions i know. but just want to know things before i buy.

    at 47kb a pic... 2mb is 2000kb estimated.

so you can get a fair amount of pictures.. nothing excessive. Try deleting ring tons you dont like and also those default pictures. itll free up some space

I have a z600, which is a flip of basically the same thing...

They're good phones, the 630 has a better quality screen than the 610 (i think the 630 is the same as mine, cause mine is better than the 610)

2mb isnt a problem, at the moment, I have about 400k left, and thats with ringtones, and two big (from the computer) animated gifs sitting on here...

friends had a similar question, heres what I emailed him:
yup, ericsson T630 here, quite nice, pretty much just an updated version of
the T610, though they fixed the call clarity problem, and you don't have
that glossy black finish that needs to be polished every time you look at
it - I prefer the larger buttons too. If you had other SE phones - my last
one was T68 / T68i then the navigation is very similar, along with the
predictive text - though it doesn't have the lag problems the others had.

Quite a nice phone, easy to use, syncs up nicely via IR of Bluetooth, data
cable too I assume, but I only sync between the laptop and pocketpc so I've
never needed a physical cable - IR will do for serial if need be. J2ME stuff
runs on it quite easily.. though the vibration unit isn't the strongest out
there if that matters to you - its fine for me, notice it no probs, but some
phones seem to have more vibe in them than a freakin sex toy - depends which
pocket you keep the phone in I guess.

umm.. it survives being thrown about and dropped quite well, and most
importantly the screen will do quite a good job of displaying your car as
    the background wallpaper ;)

yes, you can transfer the sounds, wallpapers, contacts, calendar, etc via infrared/bluetooth, yes, ringtones can be polyphonic
