"Top Fuel engine cannot be run at its maximum power output for more than about 10 seconds at a time without overheating (or perhaps exploding)"

    They're awesome.

You can feel your innards vibrate with their power pulses as they idle. I love it.

A Top Fuel dragster reaches more than 300 mph before you have completed reading this sentence.

I remember reading something about NHRA top fuel cars and Z06 vettes.

If the vette crossed the line doing 200mph .... the rail would leave the line froma dead stop, catch, and pass the vette before the end of the 1/4.

They may go back to 1320 next year after some rule changes.
