We took off just as all of the sons and dads were showing up. Overall, I'm pretty pleased, it's my 4th time shooting off of a bench ever, and my first time out with this rifle. We had to get the scope dialed in and whatnot, and I had to work on improving my form; the .308 has a bit more recoil than the 10/22. :mamoru:

My good group ended up .540" center to center with Federal Gold Medal Match at 100 yards. With some good handloads and a stock that's not as floppy as the Hogue, plus more practice I should be able to tighten them up even more. :x: A hair over .5 MOA feels pretty good for a straight out of the box rifle and factory ammo. :)

I certainly am. I need to scoot the scope back a little bit, but other than that, it's very comfortable.:wiggle:

:werd: I've seen some that I want to film on high speed camera just to see exactly how the shock wave propagates through the lard layers, I bet when the waves meet in the back there is a back lard mohawk. That is not sexy but it is a train wreck and all you can wonder as you stare is did twinkies or pizza cause this odd expression of fluid dynamics.

thats a fucking nice rifle. good groups!

  15. It's just an EGW base and Leupold PRW rings. Actually, the rings could stand to be a bit shorter than they are.

That's just like mine. :wavey: Except your scope probably cost 4x what I paid for mine.

Do you have the regular stock or the VTR stock?

Ah, it's pretty front-heavy, but I'm sure it'd be much worse if I had a longer barrel.

 It wasn't a very expensive scope. I just picked out something that I'd be able to use at many different distances.

    20", amirite?

My 12FV has a 26" bull barrel and it's annoyingly front-heavy. I'd love to send it off someday to have it cut down to 20" and fluted.
