As I'm watching my morning block of car-related shows on HD Theater, She just said "You know what's weird...I'm really starting to get into guns and cars." After I managed to take away all fears she had that she would end up killing one of us, and her Mom (who told her guns were bad growing up) miraculously joined in with encouraging her to learn how to safely handle a gun, we finally got to go yesterday. We went to TargetMasters here in Columbia and the guys were extremely nice and patient with her as we eased her into it. The older chap who helps us was like a grandfather to her and showed her everything, and never lost his cool...At first she couldn't figure out which way to load the magazine and tried to feed a bullet in backward, another time she started to turn towards us to ask us something with the gun hot and loaded...the old guy just did a "woah, woah now." All in all...she did well. and has okay'd me having guns in the house and getting a carry permit after some recent news about some friends getting shot. Cliffs: Took g/f shooting, she liked it, I'm happy...I can join gun crew now.
