and now they're at around 8 gauge. do i have to do the steps over again? meaning wait 2 months for them to heal? i want to go back to 2 or 0 gauge.

My fiance took out his 4g for a couple days (put in the 10g instead) after an attempted stretch (no 2g jewelry to put in). His holes closed up to about an 8g, but he was able to go back up to a 6g fairly easily, and a week or so later, once his ears had calmed down, he was back to a 4g. But that's just him...he's never really even waited very long for a fresh stretch if he had the jewelry available.

if you had them stretched before they will stretch much easier.

in the end? or right now?

you could probably go one gauge every week and not have any problems.

always wait until your comfortable with what your doing before doing it. generally if it hurts then wait.

anything above a 4 gauge is going to hurt a bit, and will likely bleed, since its such a large difference.

I got mine pierced at an 18 initially in wal-mart on a whim, then stretched up to a 6 over the course of a month. I am at a 4 now, and when I stretched to a 2 they bled and hurt like hell for the first time, I have been at a 4 for a couple months and had no problems or bleeding at all up till the 2.

I just went to a 0 in my lobes 2 days ago... The left ear stretched fine (even though it's the one that gives me trouble, but no bleeding though) The right one is the one that usually just slides in the bigger size in easily but this time it bled but barely though. I went from a 2 to a 0. I had the 2's in for like 3-4 weeks too. Everyone is differnt so you got to see how your body adjusts to the stretching.
