I fairly new at this, so please take it easy if you seen something severely wrong with this post.

I'm attempting to cut at the moment, so I've been trying different things with my diet to see how the results vary. I'm 191lb, 5'9, male. Before this week I used to average out at 1800 cals of clean food, with the 40% protein/40% carbs/20% fat intake. Starting this week I've been at 60% protein/30% carbs/10% fat, also at 1800 cals of clean food.

Is there such a thing as too much protein or maybe not enough carbs. Been feeling like shit lately, feels like every joint in my body is hurting. Also, been tired as shit even with 8 hours of sleep per night.

As far lifting, been doing Christophers routine. Also some cardio 2-3 times a week.

you can have too much of anything, even water, but that would require way more protein than you would probably ever consume. tehre are some guys on this board that consume over 600g of protein/day.

as long as you are making up your calories with fats and protein, there really no such things as too little carbs, depending on your goals. there are some diets, ie Atkins and Keto, where you consume virtually no carbs most days.

your going to feel tired on a caloric deficit diet, its pretty much just the nature of the beast.

I never said that much protein was going to help any more than the average 1-1.5g/lb, just that its not harmful (assuming total cals are kept in check)

1800 * 0.6 = 1080 Cals. 4 Cals per G of protein = 270g of protein.
190lbs * 1.5 = 285g of protein.

Sounds like you are getting enough protein, if you need more cals maybe get them from some carbs?

My dad takes flax seed oil I believe, and it works because he keeps getting more. Head over to your nearest GNC and ask an employee.
