This is how much gear it takes to shoot a big 3 Gun match out of state. I tried to pack as light as I could but I will be away 5 days. Total of 3 guns, over 1000 rounds of ammo combined for 3 guns, misc gear, and a laptop (this is a working trip).

For 3 Gun there is no what I could fly and shipping that much gear UPS would just be asking for trouble. So it butt crack of dawn and now I leave for a 16 hour drive to Oregon along with 3 other dudes.

Where is your 3-gun buggy? There were some people at area 5 dragging around these big-ass landscaping flat bed carts and that was just a handgun match.

Wow, that's a lot of work/stuff for a match. I imagine it will be fun though.

Take some pics/vid and post them up for us to oogle, and good luck!

A hard-shell wheeled golf bag case would do you wonders.

You think that's alot? Try traveling with a baby! lol

Good luck at R&R. Wish I could make it this year, but it's too hard to travel with my little one rite now (3 months old).

I do have a 3 gun cart. Well I took a baby jogger I got off of craigslist for $35 and bolted on some gun racks (used for ATV's). It's good for some 3 gun matches where you can walk from stage to stage and you don't need too much gear, but that is not this match. From what I hear the stages are fairly far apart, and gear intensive. For most 3 gun matches you drive from stage to stage.

We drove for LA to Roseburg OR. I'm chilling in the hotel having a beer and doing some work (ansering emails etc). Will leave at the butt crack of dawn again to get to the range, walk the stages, dope the long range shots.

On glock talk about a year ago somebody posted a story where a dad was jogging with the kid in a baby jogger. Well 2 pit bulls came out of a yard and gave chase. The father ditched the kid and ran up onto a car jumping and yelling to get the dogs attention. The dogs took the bait, gave chase, left the kid alone, and bit the guy several times for his trouble. the cops were called and IIRC one or both dogs were shot. no harm came to the kid.

I posted my 3 gun cart and said the dad needed one of "these"

somebody else posted "I can see it now. Put hearing protection on the kid, push down to lift the front wheel up and level off long guns. Rock and Roll"

    Gave eveyone a good laugh
