Today, my buddy and I got the go ahead on detailing my supervisors Z06 again. He doesn't really take care of it at all, so it's always exciting to see what scratches he's induced since the last detail. There were a few problem areas which we were able to greatly improve. The end result disappointed us a bit, but my supervisor was happy.

    Wash with Meguiars Deep Crystal
    Clay with Pinnacle Poly Clay
    Polished with Meguiars #80
    Polished with Meguiars #7
    Waxed with NXT Liquid Wax

the previous owner of the house had the exact same model. there are quite a few nice cars in my neighborhood. i have an A4, my neighbor has a really nice truck, there are a couple of nice sports cars, and a few other nice sedans. the houses really arent that bad compared to some in the area.

Looks pretty good to me! Did you work by hand or PC?

We applied the polishes with a pc and waxed by hand.

I don't like the orange tone on it, nothing beats a silver Z06

That's funnie I'm working on the same model of corvette, it's a 04 but mine is black which I been working on it sence Monday. Mine the owner keeps it out in the sun, drives it a lot, lives on a dirt road. It had scratches, rock chips to name a few. I just got done doing the prep work on it and I'm putting 4 coats of Z5 on it plus Z2 and Souverän Paste Wax has a topper.
I hope that Z would hold on because I had to put a high speed glaze on, I Z6 it hope that helps?.

Anyway that Corvette you did looks real good

Northpac-I hope you are doing a lot of polishing to remove the defects because Zaino will highlight them if they are still there. Z5 really doesn't do much for swirls. Menzerna and Poorboy's polishes work well with Zaino, you should only need a Z-7 wash after using them.
