I'm ready for R&R to be over. It was awesome, but I need to be back with my team. :hs:

    During R&R I have:
    • Figured out how to make sure I get the baggage detail any time I'm on R&R. :x:
    • Flown first class for the 18 hour flight from Kuwait to Atlanta. :wiggle:
    • Had my duffel bag lost in Atlanta, and not returned to me until a couple of days ago.
    • Had random (but protected) sex with two total strangers. :hsugh: (Charlotte, NC)
    • Stayed in the best B&B I've ever seen. (Lovill House Inn, Boone, NC)
    • Turned down a lot of favors from people that want to do something nice for any soldier they see. :hs:
    • Flown a Cessna 172 with my ex-flight instructor. Badly. (I haven't flown in years)
    • Decided that I wasn't enough of a man-whore to seduce my ex-flight instructor. Gotta draw the line somewhere. :hsd:
    • Played around on my brother-in-law's snowmobile.
    • Pissed off friends and family that decided I should spend my time and money to come visit them, wherever in the country they all happen to be living at the time.
    • Had sex with a friend of my ARNG 1SG's wife.
    • Had an argument with the friend of my ARNG 1SG's wife after she immediately started the control freak (aka: pussywhip training) act.
    • Eaten the very best steak (the 8 oz. "hanger" cut :dunno: ) that I have ever tasted in my life. (Tamarack Restaurant, on Burke Mountain, VT)
    • Visited the place where I buried my youngest son's ashes. (Cathedral Ledge, NH)
    • Caught up with a lot of good friends, and met some pretty cool new friends.
All-in-all it was a real good two weeks. I started out with only vague plans and zero expectations. I've seen guys go on R&R and come back all pissed because their every-single-minute-was-planned-to-the-max R&R didn't turn out the way they wanted. But I could not imagine a nicer way to spend two weeks in the middle of the winter than the way I spent mine. Well... I didn't get to sex up Halle Barry, so I guess it could be improved. :mamoru:

Thanks, America, for the good times. :wavey:

You did more in two weeks than I've done in the last two months. Plus more ass too probably...

I've also spent more money in the last two weeks than I've spent in a long time. :mamoru:

You have to wear them on the flight from Kuwait. And to make it worse, ALL of the civvies I had were in my duffel bag that was lost, so I had to actually wear my ACUs to Walmart while I bought jeans and a shirt.

And the irony of me being on the baggage detail team and having my baggage lost has not escaped me. :mamoru:

I didn't think leave was worth the 18 hour flight or the bs you go thru in Kuwait. Good thing you flew first class though, it definitely makes a difference.

When I went on leave a few years back, first class was given to all the pogues and LTF officers.

Baggage detail gets first crack at 1st class. then the officers. When we started boarding (after all the baggage and shit was done) there were already officers filling up the 1st class seats. The NCOIC of the flight asked for any officers that hadn't participated in the baggage detail to free up a seat for those that did. There should have been 3 extra seats after we got ours, but there ended up being 1 seat short. Integrity within the officer corps, ftl. :madfawk:

On our way to kuwait the pilots wanted a private to come up with them in the cockpit.....so we sent a newly NJP'ed private up there

They were all over 35 years old. The oldest (the friend of my 1SG's wife) is probably 43. You probably would think they look more like your mother than a potential fuck buddy. But then, I probably look more like your father than most people posting on this forum. :hs:

The best thing about getting older is the number of women you would happily fuck just keeps getting bigger and bigger. :wiggle:

:squint: WHO said ANYTHING about lowered standards? :madfawk:

It is a fact that I am attracted to women that I would not have given a second look to when I was younger. I haven't lowered my standards. I have expanded my possibilities.
