CENTCOM general order #1 prohibits privately owned weapons. Two problems besides that, 1.) HK would laugh at you if you asked to buy one, and 2.) Where would you plan on finding a supply of the 4.6x30mm ammo that it takes. It's not like you can even stroll into a gunstore in CONUS and pick some up.

smack yourself. if you kill someone with your own weapon its murder but if you kill someone with a goverment issues weapon its ok and also why the fuck do you care the m4 sucks generall but i would rather have it over and ak tha wis only accurate out to 200 m or an mp5 which you would be klucky if the round went 200 meters and actually killed someone and the MOTHER FUCKING MP7 RE your kidding me of all weapons the MP7 WHY! you could at least say you wanted to carry a panther arms chambered for 5.56.

im going to be driving around most of the time in a comms vehicle if i go, so i want something smaller than a rifle but stronger than a pistol, mp7 looks awesome, i just want one

and to the ammo question, i wouldnt be planning on shooting cases and cases of ammo, i would buy a couple thousand rounds to go with it and be set

if your are outside the wire you will probably have an escort and also you will have an M$ or M16 wither way lern how to shoot and you will be ok your weapon is only as dangerous as your are.

You should try shooting at a pop up range instead of a normal Navy range...it's a tad bit different...I thought I was hot shit until I was put in place by the almight pop-ups!

    :)

You don't bring your own weapon, you use the one issued to you. End of story.

No. And if you're commo and in the navy, if you do deploy you'll get more use out of a butter knife than a gun. And btw, the only gun I'd consider taking other than my issued M16 is an M14...

    heh, sir yes sir :ugh:

yea id rather have a 14 aswell, thinking about it that way is what made me want to ask the question...not sure why you have to use garbage reissued shit if youre willing to spend your own damn money...and i will bring more than a gun of course...just wanted something smaller to be with me for the ride instead of a huge m16 that i dont even want

whats the policy on sidearms by the way?

Most of our squad and team leaders carry them :dunno:.

From what I hear gunners and drivers should have them too, not that we've ever actually got them though.
