I would lay across the aboveground blast doors and hump the silo hole in gratitude for protecting us from the godless Russians.

I think the ones you can get for 40k are all flooded out, from things I've read your looking at closer to 200k for one thats just been stripped no flooding or collaspes.

Nope, the only one where the tube hasn't been filled is at the museum south of tucson, I looked at several of these a few years back and they were all around 45K, some of them have been broken into and the norm and all of them have to be restored and made esbetos free. You can still drive down the I10 between Tucson and Phoenix and they are right off the highway, the hatches on most of them are still welded shut.

They fill the actual silo tube? With dirt I'm presuming? If I can't launch bottle rockets out of a working silo, then I don't want it. :greddy:

Probably not, but I'd can always find bigger. Or do it in stages somehow.

My dad spent 4 years in a Titan 2 complex. He had some sort of hold-down
bolt that came from one as a bookend.

Full Titan sites run into the millions. There are a few for sale in the high 2 to low 3 million area. There are a number of places that specialize in selling them. Would be pretty cool.

That goes along with what I read, a couple mil for one that could be made livable somewhat easy, a couple hundred grand for one thats structually intact but needs complete electrical rewiring, possible asbestos removal, etc.
