tires and wheels

    whats a good tire protectant? how about a wheel cleaner? i got some dirty chrome that needs to be cleaned.

    Some natural wax will do for the tyres, stay away from spray-on stuff because the solvants can eat your rubber away faster than you do!

    for the chrome, just chrome cleaner :)

    Simple Green degreaser will do just fine for dissolving brake dust, which is the hardest thing to get off the wheels.

    Wax your wheels if they're painted (dunno about chrome) it helps to get the dust off.

    Waxing is a good idea for painted wheels, however do it AFTER you get the dust off, if you wax while there's still dust on, you'll scratch the hell out of the wheels. Brake pads are metallized, so is the dust that comes off of them.
